Creativity is the key ... have I said that before!
Creativity is the key ... I feel like I've been saying this for ages and I'm not the only one. What is it going to take to get the world to listen and share in the freedom, progress and life that creativity brings?
'Sir Ken Robinson, a leading thinker on education, creativity and innovation, who has advised various governments and major global corporations says that most education systems around the world including Australia’s, are still modelled on the needs of the industrial age, were already narrow and are getting narrower.' from the 7:30 Report ABC.

I absolutely agree. I made a similar point in a blog posting a few days ago: "Is the education system on the wrong side of the digital divide?" - http://www.e4africa.co.za/?p=1162
This was really interesting Georgia. I'd like to see the schools he was interested in.
It is interesting stuff. I think to bridge the digital divide we need innovative leadership that creates an environment where teachers can safely take risks with their learning.
I completely agree that creativity is key in the classroom! I am a teacher trying new and improved ways to keep my students entertained for 8 hours a day Monday through Friday.
That is why I read blogs such as yours to help me. I have recently signed up for Applebatch.com which is a community for teachers like myself sharing ideas and lesson plans.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
